  • The following closures will take place on Sunday, February 6, during the marathon: The Huntington Beach Police Department will begin towing parked vehicles along these impacted streets at 12:00 a.m. Closures will begin on PCH as early as 1:00 a.m. and going until 2:00 p.m.

Saturday, February 5th, the day before the marathon, you can warm up with a beach mile race along the sand beginning at 11:00 a.m. The marathon, half-marathon, and 5k run will take place on Sunday, beginning at 6:30 a.m. Marathon activities begin on Friday, February 4 th, and Saturday, February 5 th with an Active Lifestyle Expo that is free to the public and features health and fitness vendors offering samples and products for purchase. At the finish line, signature surfboard medals and a music festival welcome the long-distance runners. The 26th annual Surf City Marathon and Half-Marathon is taking place this Sunday, February 6th, 2022, along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway, finishing just steps away from the beach! This year, over 11,000 runners are set to run along the breathtaking coast of Huntington Beach, with over 2,000 volunteers cheering them on.
